Well, we moved!

We moved out of an area with inexpensive real estate - to one of the highest-priced land in the country. Seriously, I think this took us out of the running for purchasing property. We are spending much less on rent than we would on a mortgage. I am going to have to continue to research this, because if I can't figure out how to get a good mortgage on our income and with our credit, then we will need to purchase land far, far from home. Which we could do - I would just rather not have to do that.
