Disabilities and buying your first home

If you are disabled, you may need to go to a lot of extra care in finding a home that is right for you. My mother is disabled with fibromyalgia and other medical problems - her doctor advises us to find a home that she can easily move around in - which means, a bedroom on the first floor, wheelchair access, that sort of thing.

This presents more of a challenge for us, but I am sure we will be able to find something that gives her easy access for when she visits.
